PLCC and LCC packages may share similar outside dimensions while differing in lead configuration, corner geometry or package thickness. Compare the actual device drawing to the listed profile rather than selecting by lead count alone.
Body sizeCheck width, length and thickness at the surfaces supported by the tube.
Lead/corner detailsIdentify protruding leads, chamfers or carrier features that affect usable clearance.
Orientation + retentionConfirm loading direction and plan the end closure or filler for the actual quantity.
Existing Profiles Can Often Avoid New Tooling
