Low-Charging ESD-Safe Retention

Pink Antistatic Rubber Bands

Malaster pink MC-ASRB bands provide reusable, adhesive-free retention for IC shipping tubes, JEDEC trays, protective boxes and other static-sensitive packaging. Current controlled data identifies them as surface-treated natural rubber with static-dissipative, low-charging performance.

Choose the Band by Size and Retention Requirement

Pink MC-ASRB bands are a practical retention component within an ESD-control program. Select the relaxed band size and width so the package is held securely without keeping the rubber under unnecessary stretch. The band does not replace shielding, grounding, cushioning or other controls required by the complete packaging system.

Relaxed sizeUse the listed band dimensions as the starting point, then consider the actual bundle circumference and intended stretch.
PackagingStandard Malaster packaging is by weight in 1-kilogram polyethylene bags. Published piece counts are approximate.
Product careProtect unused bands from UV light, heat, ozone, oils, solvents, contamination and prolonged storage under stretch.
Pink versus black: Pink MC-ASRB and black MC-CRB bands are both static dissipative, but they use different constructions and controlled resistance ranges. Lower resistance does not automatically make one family better for every application. Compare both families →

Storage, Inspection and Application Qualification

After openingReseal packages when practical and plan to use bands within 9 to 12 months after opening. This is conservative planning guidance, not a guaranteed failure date.
Inspect before useReplace bands showing cracking, hardening, tackiness, discoloration, deformation, surface damage or loss of elasticity.
ESD-critical useResistance verification and complete-package qualification should be part of the user's ESD-control process where required.
