MC-1000BLACK IC Tube End Stop Pin
MC-1000BLACK is a short black nylon needle pin for a tube prepared with matching retention holes. A correctly seated pin helps keep components from sliding out during handling, storage, and shipment.
| Part number | MC-1000BLACK |
|---|---|
| Style | Short needle pin |
| Color | Black |
| Material | Nylon |
Drawing and reference dimensions
| Length below head | 0.158 in. |
|---|---|
| Head width | 0.197 in. |
| Straight shank width | 0.114 in. |
| Maximum retention-section width | 0.130 in. |
Its short profile differs from both MC-3000WHITE and the MC-4000 needle pins. Check the drawing when a shallow tube or limited device clearance restricts pin length. Open the dimensioned drawing.
Match the tube and pin
Provide the tube part number or drawing when selecting MC-1000BLACK. Check the retention-hole location, diameter, wall thickness, and internal device clearance for that exact profile.
Installation and removal
Insert the pin through the intended retention hole and check that its retention feature engages without distorting the tube. Keep the pin clear of device leads and fragile surfaces. Support the tube when removing the pin; review the MC-1000PP pin puller where the tool can engage beneath the pin head. Inspect the pin and hole before reuse.
Static control and partial loads
Nylon identifies the polymer, not an electrical rating. Confirm any ESD requirements for this exact part; black color does not establish static-control performance. A pin provides mechanical retention and does not by itself establish discharge shielding.
A pin can retain components while leaving room for movement inside the tube. For partial loads, select an ESD tube filler to suit the remaining usable space. Ask Malaster to review your tube and pin combination, or compare end stop pins.
