ESD IC Component Box MC-1410C
ESD IC Component Box MC-1410C is a black molded conductive polypropylene box with a hinged lid for packaging ESD-sensitive electronic components. Its catalog dimensions are 0.50 × 2.50 × 2.50 inches. Specify the foam or device insert separately to suit the component and its handling, storage and transport conditions.
The 2.50 × 2.50-inch listed footprint makes this a compact square option to evaluate for individual components or small groups. Allow space for separation, approved support areas and removal access.

Catalog dimensions identify the box size. Confirm the usable internal dimensions and component fit against the part drawing or a sample, including corners, lid features, lead clearance and the space occupied by inserts. Do not calculate usable component height by subtracting foam thickness from the listed box height alone.
Component retention and packaging performance
Support the component at approved contact areas and keep leads, terminals, connectors and sensitive surfaces clear where required. Check that the closed lid controls movement without loading the component excessively. Review loading and removal access as well as the packed position.
For defined cavities or rigid positioning, explore semiconductor device inserts or request a component-specific foam design. Confirm insert-to-box fit and any lid retention together. Conductive material values alone do not establish discharge shielding, cushioning performance or compliance of the finished package. Qualify the complete configuration for the intended application and ESD control requirements.
Before reuse, inspect the box, hinge, closure and inserts for damage, contamination and changes in fit. Confirm any cleaning procedure with Malaster for the selected material and your process.

1410-footprint foam options
Compare these cushions with a listed footprint of 2.50 × 2.50 inches. Confirm the cut size and the complete base, component and lid arrangement for MC-1410C before ordering.
| Foam part | Function | Construction | Thickness |
|---|---|---|---|
| MC-1410CFS | Soft conductive | Open-cell urethane | 0.22 inch nominal |
| MC-1410CFF | Firm conductive | Closed-cell crosslinked polyethylene | 0.22 inch nominal |
| MC-1410AFD | Soft antistatic | Open-cell polyether polyurethane | 0.25 inch listed |
| MC-1410AFDF | Firm antistatic | Closed-cell polyethylene | 0.25 inch listed |
CFS and CFF thickness is 0.22 inch nominal. Skived thickness varies; request an agreed thickness range when compression or clearance is critical. AFD identifies soft pink antistatic foam and AFDF identifies firm pink antistatic foam.
The box and foam have separate electrical and mechanical properties. Select conductive contact only where permitted by the component requirements. Pink antistatic foam should not be substituted for conductive foam without reviewing the required function. Browse ESD box foam cushions or request a custom foam insert.
